Flava” is urban slang for “taste” and the station mix is tastefully varied but predominantly features hits from way back, including 1970s and 1980s R&B, rock, house, jazz, soul, gospel, raga, kwaito, general African and Zambian music.

Broadcasting 19 hours a day from 05:00hrs to midnight, FlavaFM provides daily infotainment consisting 75% Music and 25% talk, predominantly in English although Bemba (a local language) is used to spice up the shows.
