La NQ, se funda el 12 de diciembre de 1955 en Tulancingo de Bravo Hidalgo, por Don Narciso Solís Huerta, con la frecuencia 640 AM, posteriormente la adquiere Don Juan de Dios Hernández Gómez y desde hace más de 40 años está en manos del Locutor, periodista, comunicador y empresario, Alejandro Wong. NQ inicia sus transmisiones con el lema “la Voz de Hidalgo”, afiliada a Radio Programas de México al que también pertenecía XEQ Y XEW, con un alcance de 1 perímetro de 10 kilómetros con 1000 watts de potencia. El contenido era diverso; concursos para aficionados, radionovelas, coros de niños, barra de platicas religiosas, notas sociales, de futbol, toros pero sobre todo música. En 1994 surge NQ FM 90.1, primero con tres mil watts de aparente radial y actualmente está al aire con 50 mil watts de potencia en FM y AM. La NQ, es un medio de comunicación líder en el estado de Hidalgo, llegando a 14 estados de república Mexicana, con gran aceptación en el Estado de México, Puebla, Tlaxcala y Veracruz, gracias a su contenido en cultura, política, noticias, historia, servicio Social y como toda radio por excelencia su programación musical con la fórmula “Música Romántica”.
