(Greater Boston Radio, Inc.) and is affiliated with United Stations Radio Networks. WRIF started broadcasting in 1948 as WXYZ-FM with simulcasting WXYZ-AM programming. As soon as they switched to separate programming they started experimenting with genres until they came to Active Rock.
