Thanks to our founder, 20 years ago Mr. #CesarE.Chavez founded this radio station to find a way to reach farmworkers and agricultural laborers. Thanks to his legacy, today we continue to follow the example he set for us. We are more than just a radio station, with educational programs and a lineup featuring the best current regional Mexican music. The key to the success of Radio Campesina has been its interactive format, which combines popular music with listener calls, street promotional events, and live broadcasts from local happenings. Radio Campesina listeners receive news and information through innovative community programming, bringing their voices on air, creating a shared identity, and connecting people to resources available in their communities. Radio Campesina airs forums and debates on key topics such as health, safety, education, politics, and consumer affairs, as well as interviews with experts from various service fields, plus news and information programs in which listeners can participate through in-studio calls. Radio Campesina also broadcasts informative capsules on important topics, all supported by subject matter experts who report on the impact these issues have on listeners’ lives.
