Magic 101.9 FM

WLMG was originally beautiful music WWL-FM (now being used at its sister station at 105.3) until the 1970s, when its switched to Top 40. But by May 1976 it would switch back to beautiful music. It would begin its current AC history as WAJY ("Joy 102") on December 26, 1980, which would later become WLMG ("Magic 102") in 1987 (and its moniker modified to "Magic 101.9" in 1995). During the holiday season, the station plays 24 hours of holiday music (the only station that does in the New Orleans area), calling it the "Magic of Christmas."
